About
The Algorithm Oracle is a digital ritual, a system of chance and reflection that invites you to explore the intersection of human intuition and algorithmic randomness. It is not designed to provide direct answers — instead, it mirrors the choices and perceptions of the one who consults it.
This project was born from a fascination with the history of divination, particularly the I Ching, the ancient Chinese Book of Changes. The I Ching uses the randomness of coin tosses or sticks to generate hexagrams, creating a ritual that blends chance, interpretation, and reflection. Similarly, The Binary Oracle uses three binary dice and simple rules to generate a “message” through the act of scrolling digital feeds.

About the author
I am Pablo, an Industrial Design engineer currently based in Málaga, exploring the boundaries between speculative design, interaction, and ritual. This project is part of my final-year thesis, which focuses on the influence of design in ritual objects across different spiritualities and religions, and how these objects shape human interaction and experience. In addition, my research explores, through speculative design, the possible evolution of ritual objects, including the design of objects for potential future religions.
